Dr. Rhonique Shields is a board-certified pediatrician and the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Holy Cross Health Network. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her training at Georgetown University Hospital. With a Masters in Healthcare Administration, Dr. Shields oversees the medical care delivered by network clinical sites and develops strong relationships with community physicians. Her extensive experience in public health data management and establishing new medical practices has made her a national voice in fostering care for children in foster care, managing asthma, delivering mobile healthcare, and addressing toxic stress. Her contributions to culturally competent care and quality improvement initiatives have been recognized nationwide.
